For a lot of practical driving, my WRX was nearly as fast or even faster than my 2010 SS. On a mountain rode, the SS (with upgraded sways) would tear apart the WRX, but in town, accelerating around some slow drivers, etc., the punch of the WRX at low speed was satisfying and as much as you would get at those speeds with something "faster". AWD launch is hard to beat. But as speeds increase, the vette stays stable, keeps accelerating, and doesn't drop-off. Around turns it'll grip far better and it'll keep more speed through turns. It is massively faster, but most people won't appreciate that with normal driving.
You want low speed fun? Buy a Miata. Wanna make that even more fun? Add a blower or turbo.

Well, the point was that a M240, with AWD, it's generous torque and turbo making full torque at low RPM, will take off like it's got a scalded a$$, and unless you are going above 80-100mph all the time, the difference in how much "faster" it is than a corvette is going to be minimal, in fact in some of these situations it will be faster, due to being able to put the power down better/faster (with DCT).

This does not mean the corvette is not a fast car or that it's not faster overall, but unless you are "stretching" the legs of these cars, in other words getting highly illegal, you aren't going to see a huge difference. Coming from tuned AWD turbo (my WRX), I know those can go like stink at lower speeds.

Go ahead, line the M2 up next to a C7 & let us know how badly the M2 gets gapped.

At the 60 foot trap with an average driver? Besides, this is about a 240 xdrive, it’ll likely get the jump on the C7.

I had the pleasure of taking "The Hussy" out this weekend to the N Georgia mountain twisties. What an incredible incredible machine. So.Much.Grip. I had a speed warning set at 80, and I had to turn it off because it started to become annoying and distracting.

I don't feel the suspension is too stiff for daily use, but that's just my opinion. The noises this car makes are so amazing...the gear box is near perfect, brakes are great, steering feel is sublime...and the grip..the grip.

Fun Fact, I haven't turned on the radio. Not once.
