E39 2002 rim question
Hi guys,
I'm pretty new here as well as to the E39. I bought my E39 a few months ago and I really love the way this car drives. I bought it with a set of winter tires and rims (16inch) (rims are those default 540 ones with a lot of spokes). and a set of the standard 530d rims 16inch with summer tires. The summer tires are however almost at their end and I want to replace the whole set for some good 18 or 19 inch rims. I think this is the biggest I should go, because the roads in Poland (where I life) are really bad. Lots of holes, bumps etc. I'm afraid that bigger rims will just get destroyed too quickly. I'd like your advice on some nice good rims which are ok for the E39. it's the 530d sedan from 2002. I find the Alpina B10 rims beautiful, but they seem really hard to get. Do you guys have some advice for brands etc? What are strong good rims? What should I really avoid? Thanks in advance! |

the type of rims, in my opinion really depend on what type of look you want for your car.
although, my favorite set of rims on a e39 are definitely the BBS LM. They will run up quite a bill though, but i firmly believe its worth it. Try to avoid replica rims, or replica brands. always buy the real deal. It will pay off. Set of BBS LMs (polished) on an E39 M5
