Congratulations on the purchase. They are a damn good car from the factory. They also have a ton of aftermarket support. With a tune and cat deletes guys are putting around 500 hp to the tire. If that is your kind of thing. I agree that the Camaro versus Mustang is a different feeling. I have owned a couple of Mustangs. Every time before I buy one I check out the Camaro offering first. Just doesn't do it for me. Plus the 2010+ Camaro has a pretty ugly dash and console. At least in my opinion. But those LS motors make so much torque!

Watch oil consumption. Seems a lot of people saying their cars consume a lot more oil than they seem it should. But Ford always seems to say it is normal. Just something to keep your eye on. Otherwise, let it rip!

....and that's exactly what I did, I could have bought a 993 a few years back for about half what I ended up paying, whats worse is I was looking at a 930 at the same time for about $40K.....

Yea it's hard not to be impressed by all the new Camaro variants. They perform better and look way more menacing than the GT350, but I much prefer a high revving screamer. When it comes to track performances it going to come down to the better driver anyways.

Yea I've read about the oil consumption and have been checking mine every 300-500 miles (excessive I know) and have topped mine off a couple times already.

Ford has come a long way in terms of handling, braking, and chassis dynamics. Especially with the GT350. They had always been way behind the Camaro. The gap is a lot smaller nowadays.

At least you are on top of the oil issue. Adding oil isn't the end of the world. As long as you know you need to add it. lol It is surprising how many people don't even check things like that anymore. "A light will tell me when to add more, right?" haha

Most cars these days don't come with a dipstick so it's not because people are lazy...it's because they can only rely on a light to tell them it's low. LOL

Congrats on the purchase on the Shelby.....it's one bad ass car for sure!

That's what I'm saying. They are so used to an idiot light to inform them of everything they don't even know what a dipstick is! lmao

The problem with the dipstick on the GT350 is it's right under the huge cross/strut bar. You have to bend the stick sideways to get it out which causes the oil to be splashed around the engine bay if you aren't careful. And it becomes even more of a pain once you add the factory catch cans.

Radiant, I'm sorry you've left the BMW family but this does seem like a somewhat worthy successor to the E9X M3. Whenever I hear one of these I think holy shit!!

Enjoy in good health and make sure you don't point it towards crowds!

I have the same issue on my 2017 GT with the strut tower brace. But that is still way better than my ECS strut bar on my E90. You can't flip the oil fill cap up with it on. So you can't add oil with out removing it. Great design! lmao
