Again, production model spyshots seem to indicate no inverted kidney grilles and no curvy carved out rear bumper, but let's see...

Looks stunning!

That front end to me is kinda Tesla Model S looking, its very rounded like the S.

Cant wait to see Hi-Res images,

Now we're talking!!! Nothing like the render that was done before!

There's some Maserati Gran Turismo elegance in the design and I like it!!

Can't wait to do an M8 render when we get the press pics!

Attached enhanced pics so we can see better some of the detailing...

Some design elements of note:

- Much more elegant design of the large kidney nostril with new "hexagonal" shape.
- Very slim and elongated headlights to lower and widen the car visually.
- Ferrari-esque air exhaust behind the front fender. Much better looking than the stupid "air curtain" design.
- Oversized side air intakes which will be toned down at least 50% in the production car.
- Very simple and elegant front air intake design: a nice departure from the complicated shapes of these air intakes we tend to see more and more...
- very low nose: I don't know how they did that and still pass pedestrian crash requirements! Very much Maserati Gran Turismo!
- Fantastic curved rear fender design (60's design element we see for example on the Ferrari 250GTO). Beautifully done because it integrates seamlessly into the body and does not have a "hard" character line.
- Nice and simple wheel design, I'd say production ready!
- Beautiful 3D rear light design with the traditional BMW hockey stick shape but designed in a futuristic way. All new BMW's should have these slimmer headlights and rear lights IMO.
- Rear bumper rear exhaust design will be toned down 50% on the production car for sure.
- Very nice simple shape of the small rear diffuser between the sophisticated pentagonal exhausts elements (pentagonal exhausts are now a BMW design, see G30 5 series)
- Beautifully integrated duck tail spoiler design clearly inspired by the Chris Bangle E63 6 series, but much better done.

All in all, a very Italian GT design, which IMO is fantastic!

The production version will be a runaway success!

I think this car is gorgeous. However, if I wanted an Aston Martin.....I'd just buy an Aston Martin.
This appears to just be a mashup of every beautiful car on the market today.

I guess no pics?? One question : how does the side vent design (behind the front fender) look like? A little bit like my M5 touring render (design taken from the current M3/4) or more like the previous generation M5?

Do you think it will be offered with a manual transmission?

(Although that would be cool!)

Well, not really, the rendering is crude, especially the front end, rear end, rear fender line and of course the side vent (no hockey stick uglyness on the real car). The leaked pic is beautiful. Also the shape of the rear end is completely wrong on the render, it should slope down much more.

That's why you don't use a sketch to make a render but instead use a real spy pic (or best a real pic)... See my M5 touring render as reference...

Of course they are number of details that are off, and yes I agree the real thing does look better. But I still don't think its that bad. Hopefully someone will leak a side profile shot soon so we can have a better idea.

Usually when pics are leaked, the official ones arrive very soon so we shall see!

Yeah, this kind of sucks as far as concepts go. I hope the real deal is better than this. It doesn't really ooze Maserati sexiness or the sleek lines of the S coupe. It isn't stealing any sales from those cars just based on looks. I think the render looks better than the concept leaked images.
