New poster new car high learning curve

I was just made aware of this forum. I like to do the work on my car myself if I'm able. I'm driving a, new to me, 99 528i.

I've got some issues with the car that need addressing. I bought a Peake scan tool and the Bentley manuals but the codes from the reading don't match what I'm finding in the Bentley.

I need some help making the translation so that I can get my car back on the road.

Thanks
lc

I found part of the problem. I wasn't converting the codes.
These are the BMW codes. Any ideas of where to start?

126 leakage diagnostic pump control circuit electrical
14 intake air sensor 1 circuit range/performance
228 Fuel control bank 1 sensor 1
227 fuel control bank 2 sensor 1
202 fuel trim bank 1
203 fuel trim bank 2
122 fuel trim adaption additive high bank 2

Thanks, lc
