Steering Wheels does not telescope in or out

Hi guys I'm new here....The names Scot from Carlsbad, Ca. I just got a UN-REAL CLEAN 2001 525i...........my first BMW................Couple questions in my new forum?

1) I've seen BEEMER spelled a couple different ways BIMMER, BEAMER, and BEEMER.....What one is correct....I'm new to BMWs but wanna be correct

2) Is the 525 the runt of the litter

3) my steering wheel wont telescope out or in but you can hear the little motor tryin to work......ANY SUGESTIONS?

4) How do I post a pic or 2 of my new ride????

looks like I got the picture thing down......... #4 is ALL GOOD PLEASE excuse the bike the BMW is in the background.......: ) More pix in Wednessdays sun.

Yes the 525 is the "runt" . The 530 comes with more options as standard and has a few more horsepower but the basic car is the same. The 540 is the v8.

Does your steering wheel move up and down automatically when you turn the ignition on / off?

Yes, the steering wheels does go up and down but does not telescope in or out but the motor makes it's noise
