This is another example of how Max's lines and his driving make the difference. There was a comparison, and despite them both avg the exact same kph, Max was almost a tenth and a half faster.

The race today was decent. I think them not calling the VSC earlier and the way the did the SC picking up Max and giving Lando basically a free pit stop to then be at the back and not lose time was terrible. I dont think he'd have won if not for this blunder but low and behold Max still scores more points this weekend than Nor.
I do like seeing Mclaren ahead of Ferrari and it appears MB was right there with Ferrari too. Hopefully both are ahead of Ferrari for next season but good margin.

They think Checo made a jump-start and divebombed on the inside but he locked up and missed T1 completely by going straight through ..
The top 4 was very lucky at that moment . Checo could have taken MAX out !

Yes, usually SC pit stop saves you 10 seconds, this time it gave Nor what appears to be 30 sec. Such a mess...I figured Nor was going to bin it which would have been very fitting. Much like Rus, I don't think Nor is very good (had a friend text me after the race and said "nor still sucks") yet he gets the UK driver hype when his career has very little to show for being a 'top' driver. I fully expect once he gets the tire management down, Pia has shown to be the driver with better lines (more similar to Max) but just not as familiar as Nor with the car.

It was high risk and even Coulthard was saying Checo was so lucky this time and wouldn't get away with that again.
Later MAX was saying his car wouldn't turn in properly because of bad batch hards.

Yes they were quicker than the Ferrari which as I said is nice to see since hopefully they and MB develop a better car than Ferrari especially going into 2025.
Sai racing looking very sloppy lately too. Mag also needs to learn to race without crashing into everyone. The way he took out Sar which caused this whole SC thing was honestly a terrible move as there wasnt any room to try to make a move there.

Indeed . The RB20 runs not well on hards and great with mediums .

I saw it in Hannah Schmitz face at the pitwall , while Lando got that free pit that MAX wouldn't win this race ..
I mean there was a kind of panic in her eyes, at that moment she already knew it .

While I love today's race and the Lando win I think it's very premature to suggest that there are "chinks in the armour showing" at Red Bull.
I do suspect that the Red bull aero package is not the best one in traffic but if you'er on the pole and in the lead who cares.
