selflevel susp inact. warning

Hey,
Just turned on my E39 to drive home tonight and got the message "selflevel susp inact." on the display. I have searched around and it seems to be anything from a fuse to the air compressor unit went out. Has anybody on here had the same warning come up?

Thanks for any advise, help or redirection to a thread I might have missed with this same issue.
