A shame the flagship model doesnt have a V12.

(If this is a V8 as others are predicting)

So, the famous cvdzijden is finally caught on video!
Right behind the driver-side tail pipes in Shmee's video.
Brown hair, yellow vest, short pants.
Keep up the great work, bro!

Not a fan of the sound at all, yes you can say it sounds better than M4, but nothing similar to the older V8 and mighty V10 BMW M used to make.

Why don't you try to embrace the presence. Not like BMW had any choice in the rule books being rewritten.

German AMS says it's likely a 650HP 4.4L V8 TT. Not sure if it's new or just a more powerful version of the S63 variant.

Sounds awful. Looks awesome. Slap a nice proper cat back exhaust and disable the canned engine noise from the cabin and I bet it would improve this prototype dramatically.

This car will be a monster. Think low 11's in the quarter. Could possibly do 200 mph unrestricted.

THE ultimate luxury German muscle car.

Car sounds like a monster. I really hope they made heavy use of CFRP to keep weight down. If this car can come in under 4,000 lbs, it'll be a win. Fingers crossed for 3,750 lbs or better!

To be honest, I like how my M6 with M performance exhaust, MSR intake and Dinan stage 2 tune sounds way more. This almost sounds like the M4. The burble is nice but as it drove off all I could think about was the broken lawn mower sound my M4 used to make :/

The part where the M8 takes off behind the M4 GT4 in the second video is misleading, what we actually hear isn't the M8 but the loud metallic sound of the M4 completely eclipsing the M8's more discreet rumble. The M8's new engine (4.0L?) does sound deeper and more melodic than the shallow fart of the current M V8s though, if we compare with the X5M trailing it at the very end, and might well end up sounding almost as good as the AMG V8s.

You have any sound clips? I absolutely love the M6 as a vehicle. It's incredibly sexy!

I doubt it will be that light. M8 looks like it's going up against the S63 coupe and the Bentley GT, so more of a luxury cruiser than a sports car.

Love how the headlights look. Sounds terrible. Snap crackle pop or whatever you call it just sounds stupid.

Agreed, I don't get it either. It sounds like a lawnmower trying to start, how is this good? BMW needs to learn from the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio V6TT, I don't know what they did but their exhaust note is just awesome.

Agreed.

If I wanted it to sound like a tractor, I'd buy a tractor
