Multi fuel trim 1&2, possible culprits
I have an '01 540i 6sp and throwing a code for multiple fuel trim banks 1 and 2, fuel limit reached (codes 26, 27). The O2 sensors are fine at idle but drop down at 3k rpm as well as the fuel trim drops down. It's pushing 38pds @ 3k rpm (if I heard this correctly).
I have just had the following replaced (most of which is not related, but wanted to mention so they can be ruled out): valve cover gasket, spark plugs (boots cleaned, not replaced, due to oil leaking in them), power steering pump and belts. I have cleaned the MAF with a commercial cleaner. Through my search/reading for possible causes, I have narrowed it down to either the MAF, O2 sensors, and/or fuel filter/pump. Can anyone steer me in the right direction of what I should start replacing first? |

Since my original post, I have replaced the maf. Worked fine for a while, now acting up again. No lights, but feels like a misfire when I let up off the gas. I'm thinking now it may be the fuel filter and/or pump.
