Menace II Society.

I was amazed at the shock value and realism the Directors put on display for everyone to see. I never thought there would be something like that--everyone should watch this, not Boyz in da Hood.

Now I remember something in particular from high school.

When I was living in England, a friend of mine came over with a rented VHS movie (shows you how old I am) called Faces of Death.

For anyone who knows what this is about (and this might not actually be considered a movie per se), - I actually stopped watching it 15 minutes in but it bothered me for years.

What's ironic is that today's video games depict that kind of violence in ultra-realism...

Oh yeah I remember hearing about that but I never watched it. Rumors were floating around that it was quite gruesome.

I was thoroughly creeped out by “Girl in the Basement” then my girlfriend said if I thought that was bad I should watch this movie called “Michael”. I said “what? That old John Travolta chick flick?” After she stopped laughing she said “No, not the movie about the angel, the Markus Schleinzer film about a german accountant that keeps a little boy in his basement. So we watched that and she was right. It’s creepier.

I was 8 years old and my parents brought me to the movies with them to see Deliverance. I did not want to go into the woods alone for a long time after that.

Dozens of troubling movie titles.

Why do we watch this shit? I stopped many years ago. Simply not worth the nightmares.

It's fun to watch scary movies. I, personally, don't get nightmares, but I understand not wanting to watch them if they give you scary dreams.
