paint correcting silver is like any other color and it depends on the condition and what your end goals are. do you already own a buffer?

Spend some hours on youtube watching how-tos.

The paint that (basically) everyone is correcting is the same fyi - clear.

The direction you go (and how far) is dependent upon what you mean when you refer to paint correction.

Are there scratches, blemishes, etc...?

Or are you looking to get some sheen back?

Depending on your answer, a simple clay + seal might be all you need.

Also, how regularly is the car washed and how (eg hand wash vs car wash)?

i do have a da. i have paint corrected and coated in the past.
i don't find them to be all the same haha, my last lexus with very soft black paint took me a while to find the right pad/products combo. that was long ago i dont have any of those products anymore so ill need to buy some and wanna buy only what i'll need.
from my understanding this paint is quite hard tho? i've never really dealt with that before

im mainly looking to get shine back and give it a more deep glossy look. i dont need every swirl out but something more than a clay and seal, ive done that past years.
its only hand washed, or sometimes touchless every few weeks or whenever needed. my last car i used cquartz on and was nice but i think id prefer the deep look of a wax/selant rather than a mirror finish. im not sure what would be best for silver

Color doesn't matter. Our glasuirt paint, like audi and porsche, is med-hard. With a d/a, you're gonna need a mf pad and compound if you want to do any real cutting. If you use a diminishing compound, with mf pad, you can spritz some water near the end, and finish it out pretty well.

silver paint hides swirls really well IMO. i'd probably opt for a finishing polish, then seal/wax
