It may be that it can now run at a higher sample rate / control loop rate because there was a bottleneck somewhere before.

This will be tremendous if it works anything like Tesla's traction control. You always get maximum acceleration without wheelspin in a Tesla. No power cut, no blinking lights, no burning rubber. It would greatly help the M2/M3/M4 in normal mode.
