Depends - do you know your guns provenance? Are you sure they haven't ever killed someone by themselves? Maybe they're up to no good right now while you are away. Evil little creatures that they are.
Or at least that's what I've gleaned from listening to the media's thoughts on firearms.
In fairness though, the picture doesn't show them as safe, so
Dang3r is right - you aren't showing them as safe, therefore, the supposition should always be that they are unsafe until you prove it to yourself otherwise.
If I'm shooting at a bench and have to step away or a cease fire is called, mine are slide racked open, mag out, chamber facing up after I already verify its safe, just so everyone else can see that they are safe too.
