e39 530i wont turn over
Hi all, I am posting this for a friend of mine. Recently his 530i started misfiring, eventually got to the point it wouldn't run at all. Had him change the plugs and coils on it, he said it was idling as smooth as it ever had and then it just died. He tried to cut the car on and it just keeps trying to turn over but never does. Any ideas on where to look next? I asked about the battery but he said it is basically brand new. Fuel pump? Ignition switch?
