So not a major issue, more of a question for fellow geeks

so I had an old cellphone, which worked perfectly and unfort, had to finally get a smartphone, although I have no data, but it has wifi so I'm good, cheapest one I could get (an ZTE)

had some problems working out the alarm, so I thought, as a backup, I'll use my old cellphone as well.

Now, I got a new SIM in the S/Phone, and had the number transferred and the NEW sim activated.

The old phone still has the old SIM card (which shows invalid) but everything else works fine, including date/time

so wondering why the alarm didn't go off, does it rely on a Valid SIM, just for a alarm clock function.

Luckily my smartphone woke me up at 430am !
