TSB - no. Known issues with E39 cooling - yes. If you haven't already done so, take your car to someone who knows BMWs. They (the E39s) have quirks. The suggestion to make sure there is no trapped air is a good one - and this is where someone who knows BMWs would help. E39s also have problematic radiators, overflow tanks, and water pumps.

I still love my 528i, and I say that every day. Get the overheating problem correctly diagnosed (try a different shop, 'cause the one you're using doesn't sound like they know what they are doing) and have fun with your bimmer.
