[Sterling Roadster]

As I begin my journey shopping for another early 2000s BMW I was debating getting an e39 with the M52 just so I don't have to worry about the DISA exploding and causing a nuclear holocaust or whatever it's been know to do. The purpose of this thread is to see how many owner's actually know of the DISA causing detrimental cases to the M54 engines, be it yours or someone else's. Now, no doubt it's worth checking out and replacing, but has it really blown motors as much as the internet would have us believe? i'm noticing a lot of companies are making DISAs and preaching to replace it, including ECS Tuning which I respect very much.
