200,000mi maintenance
Hey everyone,
Im going to have a few months to spend on my cars. Seeing how the 1997 540i 6sp is approaching 200k mi, this is the perfect time to knock out some preventative maintenance.
I figured some owners on here have some experience and problem areas, so im all ears. Ive already replaced the heater core hoses, valve cover gaskets, and some front end bushings, replaced the gearbox oil, and had to do a helicoil in cyl 5 after the spark plug shot out. I plan on doing fluid flushes and checking the brake lines, but after that im shooting from the hip.
