Yeah, there are people that abuse the system all the time. I used to work at a company that asked me to buy a new tool from home depot (I think it was a hand drill), then put back the old one and return in. They said, people that process returns never even open the box. I was like fck that, if you want to do it then you do it. And I think someone actually did that, but to me that is like the most low thing you can do.

I believe the best option for companies would be to track all returns to person via ID / and if you do that kind of crap, and I believe some already do it. Also, most companies have lax policies which get abused sometimes, but I believe they should get more real and stop doing it. Of course, if you have more buys than returns with lax return policy it might pay off.
